Luckily, there is a lot that you can do to reduce the level of inflammation in the body. For example, you can set your focus on living a healthy lifestyle that does not promote inflammation. The body is perfectly capable of repairing itself and keeping the inflammation at bay.

An anti-inflammatory lifestyle can prevent chronic inflammation and keep the immune system strong. An anti-inflammatory lifestyle is about caring for yourself. Not only with nutrient-dense foods, but also by feeling and listening to the needs of your body so that it can get enough rest, so you can move around, laugh, and enjoy the fresh air. All of this makes you feel better.

Here are the different opportunities to live an anti-inflammatory lifestyle:

  • Ginger, turmeric, beetroot, broccoli, avocado, tomato, garlic, red onion, cabbage eg. kale, white cabbage, kale, red cabbage, dark berries (eg. Aronia, black currant, blackberry, blueberry) and herbs such as mint, parsley, basil, thyme, and chives have anti-inflammatory substances in them. Cabbage is also rich in fiber.
  • Omega-3 fatty acids – Eat organic trout, mackerel, halibut, or salmon or grind flaxseed or chia seeds for your breakfast. You can also add flaxseed or hemp seed oil to smoothies.
  • Reduce your intake of dark meat. Omega-6 fatty acids from meat, dairy products, and refined oils promote inflammation in the body. Light meat is better than dark meat.
  • Olive oil, coconut oil, avocado, walnuts, and almonds. Use olive oil over salads or vegetables, eat avocado in the breakfast salad and supplement fruits or vegetables in the middle of the day with walnuts or almonds. It stabilizes blood sugar, keeps you full for a long time, and reduces inflammation.
  • Include protein and healthy fats with every meal. It keeps blood sugar stable and lowers insulin secretion.
  • Reduce your intake of high glycemic carbohydrates from sugar, bread, pasta, white rice, soda, and alcohol.
  • Reduce the intake of dairy products; cheese, milk, cream, yogurt. If you can tolerate milk, and a little good organic butter it can be fine to use.
  • Avoid smoking, junk food, coffee, and stress.
